Bee The Change

23 March 2021

Bee the Change is all about quick, simple ways you can make your local area more bumblebee-friendly.

Common Carder, Bombus pascuorum

It doesn’t matter if you live in the city or the countryside. If you have a garden, a flower pot – or no outdoor space at all!

Bumblebees do an amazing job pollinating our crops and wildflowers. But as our towns and countryside change, there are fewer flowers to feed on, so bumblebees need a helping hand to survive.

Bumblebee Conservation Trust have a new project, just launched, called Bee The Change, with lots of resources and ideas about how to help bumblebees in your area.

Do have a look at their recent posting, online at:

ALSO,

There is another new project about Skills For Bees, launched by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, that will be coming to the Powys area.

Would you like to be able to identify bumblebee species?

Would you be happy to submit your sightings to the local record centres in Wales or set up a Beewalk monitoring transect?

Watch this space for more news.
